Graduate Teaching Assistantships in the Department of ECE
 
The Department of ECE has opening for Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) positions for the Fall 2007-Spring 2008 academic year. The positions typically pay $1,000-$1,500 per month in salary and stipend, cover the cost of tuition up to 18 credit hours per academic year, and generally require up to 20 hours/week of of work. Typical duties include assisting faculty, leading laboratory or recitations sections, grading and other duties in support of the educational mission of the department. All current and prospective ECE graduate students are encouraged to apply. Exisitng ECE students must fill out a GTA Application. All prospective graduate students must indicate financial aid request in their application for admission in order to be considered for a GTA position.

For current ECE students, please submit your GTA Application and resume electronically to ecegrad@gwu.edu or by hardcopy to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering main office at Phillips Hall - #607. All questions on the application must be completed and all requested materials must be provided for full consideration.

The primary evaluation of applications for the subsequent academic year takes place in early March. In addtion, applicantions are also solicited late Fall for a smaller number of possible mid academic year openings. Students already selected as a GTA for an entire academic year need not apply to continue their GTA into the Spring semester."
