Internship Opportunities

Hello, SEAS Graduate and Undergraduate Students, and Faculty!

If you want to receive information about part-time, full-time, and summer intern opportunities that are specifically aimed at engineering
and computer science candidates, then you should take advantage of the School of Engineering and Applied Science's Career Services website. Here you will find full details about these opportunities (Description of Organization, Job Description, Job Requirements, How to Apply, etc.) as well as other helpful information (Announcements about Job Fairs and On-campus Interviewing Sessions, Tips on Writing an Effective Resume, Tips on Conducting An Effective Interview, Tips for Finding Full Time Jobs, etc.).

It is simple to sign up.  Go to http://seas.gwu.edu/jobs and click on "New User".  You will be asked for profile information such as major, year, email address, username, password, etc.   Then log back in, click on "My Listings", click on "All Opportunities", and you will see all of the current opportunities that you can apply for.  When new opportunities are added that match your profile, the system will automatically send you an email notifying you of this opportunity.

The 340 SEAS undergraduates, graduates, and alumni who have already signed up for the SEAS Career Services "Jobs" website should update their profile if anything has changed since last year.   This is particularly true for those of you who are undergraduates and have moved "up" a year (example: you are now a junior).  It also pertains to those who have changed majors or who have a different primary email address.   A separate email will be sent to you explaining how to change your profile.

Last year we posted 180 summer intern opportunities and 127 part-time and full-time opportunities.  Many SEAS students took advantage of these opportunities, and we hope that many more will do so this year. We have over 40 active part-time and full-time opportunities right now (note: not everyone is eligible to apply for every opportunity due to major, year, and citizenship requirements), and we expect to start posting next summer's intern opportunities in October.   Please take a minute and sign up (or update your profile).

Sincerely,

Scott Amey
