David Nagel Is the Principal Investigator on a $2.6 Million NRL Program for GW

October 4, 2016

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering just completed a very successful $2.5 million program for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) titled “Photovoltaic Materiel and Device Research and Development.”  Now, the NRL has just put in place a new $2.6 million program for GW titled “Semiconductor Device Technology for Space and Terrestrial Applications.”  Under this grant, Research Scientist Matthew Lumb is developing concepts and performing simulations for multi-junction solar cells, while Research Scientist Raymond Hoheisel and Postdoctoral Scientist James Moore are performing diverse measurements and analyses on commercial and developmental solar cells and integrating them into various systems in space, on the ground, and even underwater.  The Principal Investigator for the program is Research Professor David Nagel.
