Dr. Sorger wins two Department of Defense DURIP grants

Dr. Volker Sorger has received two Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) grants for his project “Multilayer Heterostructure Prototyping Within Seconds & Integrated Optoelectronics Device Test System.” The grants, totaling $190,000, were funded by the Army Research Office and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.  The program funds specific proposals from university investigators conducting foundational science and engineering research of importance to national defense.
