GW's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers two bachelor's of science degrees: one in electrical engineering and one in computer engineering. In addition the department offers a minor in electrical engineering, a minor in computer engineering and combined five-year programs. The programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering GW's electrical engineering program focuses on signal processing; communication theory and practice; voice, data, video and multimedia communication networks; very large scale integrated (VLSI) circuit design and applications; and control systems.
The department offers five-year bachelor's/master's programs for students who are interested in pursuing both a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in electrical or computer engineering.
