Message from the Chair

Dear Friends:

The COVID-19 pandemic has made this a trying year for all of us, and to say that the pandemic is changing higher education is an understatement.  While this has been a year of major transformation, it’s also been a year of successful adaptation for us.

When we had to move quickly to online instruction, we did, and with great success. When we had to move to online labs, we did, despite the obvious challenges inherent in such a transition. And, happily, we’ve found that the student experience has not suffered because of it. And on top of all of this, our faculty and students have continued to engage in numerous activities outside the classroom to enhance our students’ education.

I invite you to read more about us and our ongoing activities and accomplishments.

Best wishes for a safe and relaxing summer!

Suresh Subramaniam
Professor and Department Chair
