September 19, 2019

Dr. Howie Huang has received a $100,000 research grant from Raytheon to support ongoing machine learning research for signal processing in cognitive radios. This year the project has produced one technical paper, co-authored with his Ph.D. student Ahsen Uppal and undergraduate students Michael Hegarty and William Haftel. The paper will be presented in November at the 53rd Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers. This new grant brings the total support that Dr. Huang’s team has received from Raytheon to $450,000 over four consecutive years.
