Dr. Torrico’s current research topics include theoretical investigation of extraordinary electromagnetic radiation by extended sources whose distribution patterns move faster than light in vacuum, wave propagation in random media, wave propagation in natural and vegetated urban environments for wireless communications, radiation and scattering of electromagnetic waves in complex media, numerical and asymptotic methods in electromagnetic problems, wave propagation in confined environments, and spectrum management techniques. Also, Dr. Torrico (1985-Present) is presently a Fellow and Principal Scientist at Comsearch, a CommScope Company, in Virginia, where he has been responsible for directing Comsearch’s efforts in research and development in the areas of radiowave propagation and system design pertinent to mobile communications systems, terrestrial microwave communications systems, and mobile satellite systems. He is the co-author of a chapter for the Handbook on Antennas in Wireless Communications (CRC Press – 2002) and also a co-author of a chapter for the book Transmission Techniques for Digital Communications (Elsevier Ltd. – 2016).
